Our services and facilities continue to evolve.
Tournament Results
The drawsheets used for our tournaments are created by our onsite tool that sorts players, arranges ranking order and then seeds them into a drawsheet that is published with playing times. That drawsheet can be printed out by the players and remains online with completed results as a history archive. Consequently we do not need ProScore or Challonge and our results will always be available here on our website (not on a third party service that may or may not be around tomorrow).
Player Rankings
Now that we have our first event completed, player rankings are now available for the Over 50s. These player rankings are used for seeding future tournaments.
Facebook Links
We have both a Facebook group and a page. The group is used for news and discussion, while the page serves as the focal point for live video streams. The latest links, including their new names, can be found on our home page.
Online Committee Meetings
Thanks to our new meetings page we can now hold committee meetings online. The video link is a unique service that runs on our own web page. Committee members only need to log into our members forum to be able to connect. The live video feed has been tested on both computers and mobile phones. Of course the sound and video quality depends on the quality of the user's Internet connection.
Online meetings allow committee members to join, even from remote areas and interstate.
