 A cushion is a rail.

A snookered ball is frozen, whether the object ball is hidden or the cue ball is on the rail.

A table clearance is a run out.

 Right-hand side is right english.

 A double is a bank.

Best of 17 is a race to 9.

Yet in USA pool team play, even a non-player like a coach, can not only interrupt play with advice, but he can place chalk on the table as marker.
