Why do people play snooker?
Of all cue sports, snooker has to be the most difficult, much more difficult than pool, and yet some people do play snooker in preference to all other cue sports.
For some it has become a major pastime and even dedicated as a sport, and to others a means of getting out of the house and socialising. But do do either some proficiency is needed, otherwise it can be frustrating. So along the way, at some stage or another... some must have been spent on the table.
Has everyone who plays snooker suffered such an addiction?

Pool is popular but who can handle the pub scene? More so now because I am older, but I have always preferred membership only clubs that keep out trouble makers.
As for the skills required, anyone can start learning to play snooker... all it takes is a little practice with some guidance. Most clubs run handicap tournaments weekly so there is always a challenge and the chance to meet like minded people. Some clubs also run pennant teams, where a home team will travel to play other teams on their home ground and vice versa... in all grades A, B, C, D, etc. |
