About the ASSA
The Australian Senior Snooker Association Inc. is a non-profit volunteer group focused on the promotion and organisation of state snooker championships for seniors throughout Australia.

State and National Championships for both men and women in:
- Over 50s Snooker Championship
- Over 60s Snooker Championship
- Over 70s Snooker Championship

Format of Play and Rules
The format of play, depending on numbers and locale, may be regional knockouts as a progressive event (multiple venues) up to the finals in each state, or begin as a knockout tournament at a single venue.
The game is scratch snooker (no handicap, 15 reds) according to the WPBSA rules of snooker with the exception that the Foul and Miss rule (FAM) shall only apply when the object ball is in plain site or in the case of an obvious intention to miss.
Sponsorship and Advertising
Donations from sponsors and individuals are most welcome:
- Sponsors are entitled to advertise at our events with an appropriate banner, pamphlets, etc approved by ASSA management.
- Naming rights are not available as the events must be named like the "2023 Over 50s Snooker Championship".
- Sponsored events may include the sponsor like "2023 Over 50s Snooker Championship sponsored by XYZ".
- Sponsorship can be negotiated per year, per event, per state or nationwide.
- Multiple sponsors are welcome.
